Awareness

Youngcare is focused on giving a voice to people in need. Awareness is an integral part Youngcare’s work and there are many people still unaware that right now, thousands of young people are living in aged care, while a further 700,000 are being cared for at home by family and friends, often with limited support.

Youngcare works to raise awareness on a national level through a range of initiatives. These include:-

• Major Youngcare events such as the Simpson Desert Challenge, as well as smaller, community-based events;
• Speaking engagements;
• Media relations, including a three-year partnership with Channel 9;
• Advertising;
• Corporate and community partnerships; and
• Online community engagement.
