JC's Youngcare Fishing Tour
Imagine fishing in one of Australia’s most remote and unspoilt fishing locations with a member of one of our country’s biggest rock bands, a renowned chef and one of Australia's rugby legends.
After heaps of fish, great company and a lot of laughs at Melville Island last year, Powderfinger's JC has decided to back it up in 2013 and is holding JC’s Youngcare Fishing Tour.
Bender (Celebrity Chef Ben O’Donoghue) has earned a spot again this year after his Chilli Mangrove Jack efforts in 2012 and blowing everyone away with his Black Pepper Mud Crab.
This year, the mad keen fisherman and the Chef are heading to the heartland of the Northern Territory to Labelle Downs, owned and operated by R.M.Williams Agricultural Holdings, so guests can expect whole cuts of beef cooked over open fires, as well as their day’s catch, to be on the menu.
JC is happy to announce that one of the greatest rugby players ever to don the Wallaby’s jersey will be joining the team in Labelle Downs. Tim Horan, named player of the series in the victorious Wallaby side of the 1999 Rugby World Cup, loves his fishing and will be a fantastic addition to this year’s tour.
Helicopter pilot Matthew Wright, known as “The Outback Wrangler” on National Geographic, will be flying guests around in his “chop chop” for a couple of days… He’ll be handpicking Barra spots for the ultimate in heli-fishing. He’s been compared to Formula 1 Drivers when it comes to tracking his helicopter up a river, disturbing the local crocs and wild boar.
