Youngcare Benefit Concert
Music is such an important part of what it means to be young. Music connects and inspires people. Music can celebrate and it can comfort. In fact, most of life's moments or experiences can often be related back to a song.
Youngcare believes that every young person deserves a young life, and music lies at the very heart of this. This is why the Youngcare Benefit Concert is Youngcare’s signature event.
Bernard Fanning – one of Australia’s most renowned singer/songwriters – is the Concert’s curator and co-host, and has supported Youngcare from the start. He says Youngcare delivers solutions.
“I would not want to live in aged care before my time if I needed full-time care, so why should others have to?” Bernard said.
“If my music can raise awareness and money for Youngcare to continue to deliver quality care, then that’s great,” he said.
“Youngcare gives back dignity and hope and that’s why they have my full support and will do as long as this issue remains.”
Since 2006, Bernard has called on fellow Aussie musicians, including Clare Bowditch, Whitley, Tim Rogers, Missy Higgins, Kasey Chambers and Powderfinger members, to donate their talents to the cause.
The Youngcare Benefit Concert is about connecting young people with full-time care needs with the community, as well as celebrating what it means to be young through the power of music.
