THE ISSUE
Too many young Australians with high care needs are being left behind, living in inappropriate and unacceptable housing.
It is an issue that spans the corners of the country, yet it is so close to home.
With nowhere else to go, at just 45 years of age, Karina ended up living her young life in aged care.
A Home Soon Grant changed Karina's life.
“I’m in my own home. My own home, at last. I volunteer, I exercise, I have control over what I eat. It's a huge difference now that I am having a life, making plans and giving back to people in my community. I am just like an ordinary person again."
