Great Wall of China Challenge 2017

Your challenge awaits

Choose your own adventure

On this challenging adventure, you’ll be taken out of your comfort zone – just like young Aussies living with high care needs. Travel through history, trekking narrow ridges and steep steps on the Great Wall for up to five hours a day.

Then swap the majesty of the Wall for the bustle of Beijing and discover the ancient history of the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square.

It’s all for an important reason; right now, 7,000 young Australians with high care needs are living in aged care simply because there are few other options to receive dignified, relevant and age-appropriate care and housing.  Youngcare work to create real choices in care and age-appropriate accommodation for young Aussies with high care needs.

“It was a fantastic adventure! It gives you the chance to reflect on the fact that young people with high care needs don’t have the choices that we take for granted” Sherrin Foley, Great Wall of China Trekker 2012
