$8,960.23 fundraised through annual fundraising ball!

In 2019/20, your fundraising ball fundraised a total of $8,960.23 through auction items and other fundraising initiatives on the night. What an INCREDIBLE effort!

Youngcare has always strived to provide age-appropriate, modern homes for young people with disabilities. In the last financial year, our building projects have come leaps and bounds, with up to 30 residences in the pipeline. See what you can be proud of achieving below.


North Lakes

Youngcare North Lakes is an integrated, mixed-use development, featuring 7 x 2 bedroom accessible apartments with 24/7 care, a café, rehabilitation therapy tenancies and retail outlets.


Youngcare Townsville is an integrated housing community that will include 1 x 2 bedroom and 1 x 3 bedroom fully accessible townhouse for young people with high care needs.

Wooloowin Stage 2

Neighbouring the existing Youngcare High Care Housing solution at Wooloowin, this development will provide up to 6 independent living spaces for young people with high care needs.


Our Annual Appeals are integral to raising funds that will further support our mission. Throughout 2019/20, we were able to raise a total of $732,500!

4. Youngcakes - $93,000

Our free national information and support line, which assists families to navigate the often-complicated health, housing and disability systems has helped a record breaking number of families in the last financial year.

Youngcare has been heavily involved with both the Royal Commission into the Quality and Safety of Aged Care and the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability.

We were honoured to represent the voices of thousands of young Australians with high care needs at the hearing into the issue of Younger People in Aged Care last year.


Young People in Residential Aged Care Action Plan: We are proud to have been instrumental in the outcomes presented in the YPIRAC action plan. This outlines that by 2022 there will be no young person under 65 entering residential aged care, and by 2025 no young person under 65 living in residential aged care.
