Albany Creek

Innovative apartments in Brisbane

This integrated development in Brisbane will comprise eight apartments for young people with mid and high care needs, and a further three which will be rented on the open market to provide revenue to partially offset maintenance costs.

The apartments will showcase a new two-bedroom design, providing each resident with the added flexibility of an additional guest room or study.

UPDATE: The Albany Creek Apartments are well on the way to completion with the roof now in place! We still have a lot to do to ensure this becomes a reality.

If you can support in any way – through in-kind labour, appliances, materials or cash donations please contact us.

The site at Leitchs Road, Albany Creek has been provided to Youngcare by the state government, which is also providing a $1 million contribution through the Elderly Parent Carer Innovation Trial (EPCIT), which aims to find new housing solutions for people with disabilities and their elderly parent carers.

Youngcare applied for this funding in partnership with MS Queensland which provides support for more than 3,700 people living with multiple sclerosis across Queensland and which is committed to overseeing the construction of 120 new units of accommodation for people living with progressive neurological diseases over the next 10 years.

Stay up to date with developments on Youngcare’s Facebook page.
