There is no shortage of fun on the Gold Coast. Glorious beaches, bars, restaurants, shops and theme parks make it a haven for young people. But for too long, those with high care needs have been restricted from enjoying the same lifestyle.
The Youngcare Wesley Mission Apartments at Coomera were built for this very reason. Opened in 2012, the apartments are based on the one-bedroom apartments model developed through the Knowledge Partnership with Griffith University and used earlier at Sinnamon Park.

The Queensland Government has pledged its support, offering $3 million dollars over three years to fund the care provision.
As well as having their own self-contained apartments, residents have a number of communal and entertaining areas, a gym, spa and a guest room for friends and family to stay over. Coomera allows residents to embrace coastal living. It’s a relaxed and comfortable place for a young person to call home.
