Share a slice of Youngcake this Christmas
For a young person with high care needs, the loss of choice and independence is one of the hardest things to deal with.
This Christmas, you can give the gift of choice back to these young Aussies by purchasing a Youngcare Youngcake – a Christmas cake for young people, by young people.

These delicious blonde Christmas cakes are a great gift idea and are based on a unique family recipe from Bronwyn – a resident at the Youngcare Wesley Mission Queensland apartments at Sinnamon Park.
For Bronwyn, a keen baker herself, making her Dad’s Christmas cake recipe each year is part of her family’s tradition. Until she moved into Youngcare accommodation, she was unable to enjoy simple pleasures like baking, painting, writing or gardening.

All proceeds made from each Youngcake will go towards building better lives for people like Bronwyn – investing in Youngcare housing and grant programs for young people with high care needs.

Not a Christmas cake fan? That’s okay, there are other ways you can support us this Christmas! Purchase your Christmas cards through Christmas Cards for Charity and a portion of sales go directly to Youngcare, volunteer at one of our upcoming events or donate to support the cause.
