Volunteer Spotlight – Taylar
Taylar is a relatively new Youngcare volunteer having joined in May of 2015. But in that time she has attended some of Youngcare’s signature events such as Bruce Lynton Ball and Black Tie Bingo as well as the Easts Leagues Club fundraiser for Simpson Desert, the Art Show at Bowen Hills and the GPS Rugby event. Thank you Taylar for all of your hard work!
“I think volunteering is such an important thing to do and everyone should give back in some way. So when I was looking at doing some volunteer work, I was looking for an organisation that was for a good cause and something I am passionate about. That’s when I found Youngcare.
Youngcare is an amazing organisation and the people that I have met have been kind and dedicated. I always look forward to every event. With my job, it’s sometimes hard to fit events into my schedule and I am unfortunately not able to do all of them. Youngcare understands this and has always made me feel appreciated anyway. One of my favourite events I have done is ‘Black Tie Bingo’. The event was so beautiful; a lot of fun to help out with and the host, Tim Blackwell from NOVA 106.9 was very funny! I have enjoyed volunteering at all of these events and I have met other volunteers who I now call my friends. Most importantly to me though, is that I have always felt welcome. I feel part of the Youngcare family where I know I will be welcome for many years to come, that’s why I choose to volunteer with Youngcare.”
