Volunteers are our lifeblood

Youngcare’s volunteers are one of our most important resources – without them we could not continue our work to help young Aussies in desperate need.

Volunteering for Youngcare is a great way to have fun, meet new people and broaden your skills; all the while helping young people with high care needs live life with choice, independence and dignity.

There are loads of opportunities to get involved; join the team and lend a hand around Youngcare HQ or help out at one of our Youngcare events.  We would love to welcome you into the Youngcare family!


Upcoming Opportunities in Brisbane

Cam Noble Music Event – Friday, 4 August – Spring Hill Reservoir

Cam is swimming the English Channel for Youngcare. This event will be a social gathering of good tunes, drinks and nibbles to support his fundraising.

We also require volunteer bar attendants to man the 3 bars. Volunteers in this area will require a current RSA certificate and will be responsible for the overall running of the bars, serving alcohol and keeping the bar area clean. If you have an RSA certificate and want to be involved please contact us!

Shift time : 5.00pm – 12.00pm. Email us to sign up!

Corporate Rugby Tens Match Fundraiser – Friday, 11 August – Ashgrove Sports Ground

Our annual Rugby Tens tournament includes some amazingly supportive corporate teams.  Volunteer duties include, selling raffle tickets and collecting donations as well as helping out with the activities.

Shift time: 11.30am – 5.00pm. Sign up and join our vollie family!

Broncos vs. Sharks match – Friday, 11 August – Suncorp Stadium

We NEED YOUR HELP – join the passionate footy fans and great atmosphere selling 50/50 raffle tickets at Suncorp. Tickets are sold to patrons during the event by roaming staff equipped with iPads and portable printers.

Brookside Family Fun Day – Wednesday, 16 August – 2 shifts – 9.30am – 12.30pm & 12.00pm – 3.00pm

Youngcare and Brookside Shopping Centre are joining forces for an alternative Ekka day in north Brisbane. Volunteer duties will be serving the sausages at the sizzle and giving out balloons. Email us to show your interest!


Oktoberfest Vollies

Becoming a Youngcare volunteer means you are helping us to carry out our mission to improve the lives of young Aussies with high care needs – in every possible way. With so much happening throughout the year, the work we do would not be possible without our amazing, dedicated volunteers.
