Volunteers are our lifeblood

Youngcare’s volunteers are one of our most important resources – without them we could not continue our work to help young Aussies in desperate need.

Volunteering for Youngcare is a great way to have fun, meet new people and broaden your skills; all the while helping young people with high care needs live life with choice, independence and dignity.

There are loads of opportunities to get involved; join the team and lend a hand around Youngcare HQ or help out at one of our Youngcare events.  We would love to welcome you into the Youngcare family!

“From the events that I have been part of, it is very clear that Youngcare is respected not only by the sponsors but the broader community. Volunteering is certainly not for everyone.  Not everyone has the time or freedom to participate. Why do I do it? I love the feeling of helping and the prospect of making a difference. I love interacting with people and feeding off the good vibes from the other volunteers.  I love to promote the good work of Youngcare.  Most importantly I believe that Youngcare is deserving of my time, my passion and my commitment.”Angela, Youngcare volunteer

“One of my favourite things about volunteering is getting to meet new people and hear their stories. Being a volunteer has made me realize how lucky I am and how important it is to help people in need. Volunteering gives me great joy not only knowing that I am helping people, but also because it is spreading awareness and talking to people who like me had no idea about the issue of young people living in aged care.”Cara, Youngcare volunteer

“As a cause, Youngcare has been really important to me. I am continually inspired meeting these vibrant and dynamic people every day, and being a volunteer you are able to tangibly see where the money goes. It has been absolutely incredible to see how much this organisation has grown in the past six years. I’ll definitely be sticking around and I’m very excited for what the future holds!” – Michelle, Youngcare volunteer
