With a skill to effortlessly create intelligent pop music, Tom Iansek, also known as #1 Dads is a force on the current Australian music scene. As a side-project to Big Scary, #1 Dads has sold out headline tours across the country off the word of mouth success of, About Face.
Tom has put a halt to #1 Dads’ planned break after Bernard Fanning approached the ensemble to perform at the Youngcare Benefit Concert 2015.
“When Bernard told me about the cause and asked to me play, it was a very easy decision to make. I have a huge amount of respect for Bernard and this cause, and I am very excited to be involved.”
Never one to be seen sitting on his hands, Tom is currently touring the USA as Big Scary and has produced some of Australia’s brightest upcoming indie pop bands, such as Slum Sociable, Airling, Art Of Sleeping and many more.
