Boosta gives the housemates a ‘boost’
The Wooloowin housemates have welcomed someone new to the house – but instead of four wheels he has four legs, and is white with brown spots and a tail. Housemate Trina explains all …
Instead of being rescued from aged care, our new housemate Boosta came to us from the RSPCA at Wacol. We made a number of trips to the Animal Rescue Centre to consult with the behavioural and adoption teams to find just the right match for our house. And what a good match he has turned out to be!
Boosta has settled in well and has turned out to be a really cool dude. Nothing seems to faze him; he welcomes all our visitors, young and not-so-young to the house, and he loves a good party where he can mooch and network in the hope of lots of treats! He is earning his keep by cleaning up the kitchen floor after meals, and providing an additional layer of protection for both housemates and staff in the evenings (so burglars beware!).
When Boosta gets reincarnated as a human in his next life, we imagine he will already be a fully trained personal carer given the attention that he gives to all activities that happen in the house while he closely shadows the carers on their rounds, thus earning him the nickname ‘white shadow’.
Like lots of nearly six-year-olds, Boosta also headed back to school at the end of January with his own personal trainer, who is training him to be an even better housemate. We love having him here!
