Margot Robbie, has been honoured with one of this year’s inaugural RAD Impact Award’s as recognition of her advocacy and charitable work. She was given the opportunity to have a HUGE impact on an organisation of her choice, and she chose Youngcare – wow!
Youngcare Grant recipient and volunteer, Emily Dash, was thrilled to receive the donation on behalf of the not-for-profit during a surprise zoom meeting with Margot.
Emily explained how much the surprise meant to her, especially since she received an At Home Care Grant herself, which has allowed her to live a young life with independence and choice.
“Being surprised by Margot Robbie was an incredibly special experience I won’t soon forget. Not only was she super lovely, but I was completely blown away by her generosity. It still makes me emotional to think about the life-changing impact this money will have for the 15 people Youngcare will support. It’s hard to put into words, but I know the feeling because I’ve lived it”
This opportunity will support Youngcare’s Grants Programs; providing people with disabilities vital equipment, care services and home modifications to ensure they can remain living at home with loved ones or transition out of institutional living like aged care.
