Brisbane not-for-profit Youngcare appoints new CEO

Youngcare Board Chair, Paul McLean said, Mr. Johnson’s roles as Board Member for Operation Smile Australia and RBWH Foundation provide the new CEO with a good alignment with the Youngcare mission,

“Youngcare works tirelessly to provide choice, independence and dignity to young people with high physical support needs; as an organization that is small in size but very large in mission, it’s vital the leading hand is passionate about making a difference.

We are extremely confident that Mr. Johnson’s experience and skills will lead the team to continue our ambitious mission,” Mr. McLean said.

Before joining the AEIOU Foundation, Greg Johnson had an extensive career in the financial services sector, holding senior executive roles with NAB and Macquarie Bank.

Mr. McLean, on behalf of the Youngcare Board thanked Mr. Anthony Ryan for his five-year tenure as the Youngcare CEO,

“Anthony has lead Youngcare through a very significant period for the disability sector. We thank him for his passion and commitment,” Mr. McLean said.

Greg Johnson will commence his appointment with Youngcare on Wednesday 17th November, 2021.

ABOUT YOUNGCARE

Youngcare is a national not-for-profit revolutionising the way young people with high physical support needs live – with freedom, dignity and choice. For almost two decades, Youngcare has been tackling a national issue — there are simply too many young people with high physical support needs being left behind in inappropriate and unacceptable accommodation. Youngcare needs your support to challenge the way society views disability; giving young people with high physical support needs the power and ability to choose where and how they live their lives.
