All you need to know about the NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) has changed the disability sector forever. For the first time in Australian history, young people with high care needs will be able to CHOOSE their own care packages, who they live with and where and how they live their lives.

The NDIS is giving young people and their families the opportunity to receive reasonable and necessary supports – but this is only forming part of the solution. A severe shortage of disability housing options across the country remains.

Substantial and inclusive housing is required to meet future needs of people with complex and lifelong disabilities across all communities, and Youngcare is committed to driving this change through Youngcare’s High Care Housing.

We are working together with the National Disability Insurance Scheme to build more accessible and appropriate homes for young people and their families. If you or someone you know needs a place to call home, visit our website youngcare.com.au to express your interest in Youngcare’s High Care Housing.
